California
California spans the southern half of the west coast of the contiguous United States. California is the largest U.S. state in population and the third largest in area. The state's major predominant industries include agriculture, entertainment, light manufacturing, and tourism.
While many people advocate California becoming two states, in actuality it is only one state. We've split the state in two because of the multiple major metropolitan areas. Click on either portion of the map to cruise to that area.
Age of consent is 18. No sodomy laws.
Same-sex marriages are legal in the U.S. state of California. The state first began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on June 16, 2008, as the result of the Supreme Court of California ruling in In re Marriage Cases, which found that barring same-sex couples from marriage violated the state's constitution.
