Costa Rica, officially the Republic of Costa Rica is a country in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the east and south, the Pacific Ocean to the west and south and the Caribbean Sea to the east

The age of sexual consent is 18 for all. It's worth mentioning that prostitution is legal in Costa Rica only when the prostitute is over age. Prostitution of minors is illegal.

Due to equality clauses stated in the constitution, it is illegal to discriminate any person based on their personal preferences. Therefore male/male or female/female relationships are allowed as long as they do not fall into the categories punished by the penal code.
