Vermont

Vermont is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. The only New England state with no coastline along the Atlantic Ocean, Vermont is notable for Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains, which run north to south.

Age of consent is 16. Consensual anal sex still can be prosecuted in the state, if a local prosecutor feels compelled to do so, although private, consensual oral sex is outside of the law’s grasp.

Same-sex marriage in Vermont began on September 1, 2009.
