Isn't It Wonderful...
By Daddy
Las Vegas — ...to have a day where there is nothing controversial to talk about? Slept most of the day and woke up late just feeling comfortable. For the first time in a long time it feels like we're going to be able to make it, that by years end we'll be able to move closer to what we used to have, but hopefully just a bit kinder and more gentle.
This weekends treat is a mushroomed stuffed baked chicken with my usual Garlic/Herb spice on the outside. It should be ready in about an hour and already smelling wonderful.
Doing my: "Do I really need this?" about the new Mac Mini M1. All the reviews are glowing, only problem reported is about Bluetooth which I don't tend to use.
The wound doctor wants a x-ray of my Charcot foot so I'm off to get it done on Friday. When I called to schedule they said: "Get here before 4:30, that's when we close." Works for me!
Please Be Safe, Be Sane, Be Healthy! Remember to wear your masks. Go out of your way to help somebody feel better about themselves, helping them, helps you.
To all those that have donated, Thank you! February has one bill that's due near the end of the month, so happiness is. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page
Trailer for 'The Obituary of Tunde Johnson'
By Mikelle Street
Hollywood — Stanley Kalu was still a senior in college when The Obituary of Tunde Johnson, his feature film debut, premiered. The film itself was a stand out at the Toronto International Film Festival that year, in 2019, as it dealt with police brutality, as well as the intersectional experience of being both Black and queer. It centered on Tunde, a Nigerian-American teen in Southern California dealing with coming out to his parents, a boyfriend he's been keeping a secret, and drugs. But the project is on a loop of sorts as Tunde finds himself living, and then reliving his own death at the hands of police time and time again. (More)

Cyberspace — While most people associate popular, short-form video app TikTok with trendy dances and hilarious viral moments, the platform is also good for letting people express themselves in ways they can't always do in real life.
