The Day After

By Daddy

Las Vegas — President Joe continues his work to get the country back on track. He signed a series of orders on his second day in office directed at taking charge of stopping the spread of COVID-19. Steps that he and his advisers say will start to boost testing, vaccinations, supplies and treatments.

Have you noticed that hate speech has decreased since a certain person moved to Florida? Probably, just a coincidence. All the news today appear to be positive. What a refreshing change!

I need to get out to the pharmacy and pick up some antibiotics. It turns out that I picked up a bacterial infection and need to treat it. I'm under the weather and find it hard to get out of bed. I don't plan to do much for the weekend except rest. Off tomorrow to have the fit on the CROW boot checked.

Please Be Safe, Be Sane, Be Healthy! Remember recovery will take time and it will take patience for things to return to some semblance of order.

To all those that have donated, Thank you! January is a bit tight but I have a good start on it. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

'Legendary's Jarrell Gucci Strips Off for Photos, Signs to Next Models

By Mikelle Street

Cyberspace — The thirst for Gorgeous Jarrell Gucci — no, that's his actual name in ballroom — was real on HBO Max's Legendary season one. It was real and mostly universal; show judges like Megan Thee Stallion and Leiomy Maldonado became visibly bothered on stage when he emerged at the back of the runway muscles glistening, or with a fake beard. And while this is nothing new for the performer, given he's been a living and breathing thirst trap within ballroom for years at this point, the new visibility has provided the star with some new opportunities. Biden's COVID Challenge: 100 Million Vaccinations in the First 100 Days. It Won't Be Easy.

By Victoria Knight

Washington — It's in the nature of presidential candidates and new presidents to promise big things. Just months after his 1961 inauguration, President John F. Kennedy vowed to send a man to the moon by the end of the decade. That pledge was kept, but many others haven't been, such as candidate Bill Clinton's promise to provide universal health care and presidential hopeful George H.W. Bush's guarantee of no new taxes. Wall-to-Wall Russian Muscle

By Andrej Vishnyakov

Cyberspace — A year older, but not a bit smarter. A boring year when we all had to participate in some kind of collective nonsense, while models from gods turn to mortals. Fortunately, I have endless archives in which I can swim endlessly, fishing out pearls from the bottom. (More)

Biden’s Secretary of State Pick Vows to Allow Embassies to Fly Pride Flag and Appoint LGBTI Envoy

By Adrian Garcia

Washington — President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee to be America’s secretary of state, Antony Blinken, vowed on Tuesday to swiftly appoint an LGBTI envoy, allow embassies to fly the pride flag and formally repudiate the findings of the controversial “Commission on Unalienable Rights,” among other steps that would reverse policies enacted by outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Gilead Suit Over PrEP Patents Can Go Forward, Judge Rules

By Trudy Ring

Washington — The legal wrangling between Gilead Sciences and the federal government over patents on pre-exposure prophylaxis is continuing and getting more complicated. The pharmaceutical company and the government have each filed suit accusing the other of wrongdoing where the patents on PrEP are concerned. The government has sought dismissal of Gilead’s suit, but a federal judge ruled December 30 that Gilead’s suit can go forward. (More)

Cyberspace — Over the last four years, one man sure to cock an eyebrow at the antics of the Trump administration and set it to music was Randy Rainbow. President Trump has provided rich fodder for the comedian. Yesterday, unsurprisingly, Rainbow unveiled one final farewell gift for the President as he leaves office. (More)
