Las Vegas — ...is believed to be an ancient Chinese curse. In the space of a bit under two months it appears to be our fate this year. An armed insurrection attempted to take over the capital while they are in the process of counting the electoral votes, The President is impeached for the second time, and today the stock market takes a spectacular nose dive from the high platform.
In each case triggered by the actions of one or a handful of people fanning the flames. According to CNN: "The Reddit message board that's breaking the internet by sending Wall Street into a frenzy was briefly taken private by its moderators on Wednesday, adding further confusion to a wild day.
When I woke up today I had both the blanket and coverlet on top of me. If I hadn't been so groggy I would have immediately figured that something unexpected had happened. As soon as I pushed the covers aside it was obvious really fast. The temperatures outside were in the 40s I don't function well in anything below 50°. The result is that I instantly transformed into Grumpy Old Daddy which amused the wound nurses to no end. However, they had good news, healing is taking place at a good pace. Blood Sugar at a reasonable level, blood pressure reasonable, and weight was at a new low for the past decade. Now mind you I still have a long way to go.
A friend treated me to one of my favorite restaurants, which managed to beat Grumpy Old Daddy into submission except when she order Chocolate cheesecake for which I wanted to slap her for. Can't afford to get off of the BRAT diet for another week so only cheated a tiny bit (english muffin.)
The waiter was wearing a face mask with a transparent section that from a distance looked like a smile. He said that it raised his tips by 3%; Go Gurl!

The ride will updated by Disney "imagineers" at the Disneyland park in California and the Magic Kingdom park in Florida with a new storyline and characters that "reflect and value the diversity of the world around us," Disney said in a blog post Monday.
