Signs of Life...

By Daddy

Las Vegas — The Swift library that I've been working on has started to show signs of life. It needs to have the ducks in a row and in a particular order however it's starting to build without errors.

Had a video Doctors scheduled but the Doctor's office hadn't put it into the system. So we're on for next weekend. The Vascular doctor should be happening tomorrow.

Doing a deep clean in the bathroom; Having to do in spurts as it's hard to lean over for any length of time. Signs of improvement are already showing. Since it's 108° outside doing inside work is the preference.

The Flirt4free commission was in the mailbox; Watch every penny and barely scraping by but should be able to make it through the end of the month. To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page which has been updated with the new address.

‘Pose’ Creator Steven Canals Developing FX Series on Early Gay Rights Pioneers Frank Kameny and Barbara Gittings

By Staff

Unknown — Variety reports that the series, titled 81 Words (after the This American Life episode on which it is partly based) “tells the true story of gay activists Frank Kameny and Barbara Gittings, who risked their career reputations to conspire with the GAYPA – a clandestine group of closeted psychiatrists – to challenge the American Psychiatric Association’s definition of homosexuality. Until 1974, the medical establishment considered gay people sexually deviant and diagnosed them as mentally ill.” (More)

The Gay Wonder Years

By Kurt Niece

Unknown — Clearly, these are trying and unexpected times. Isolation and sanity dance a cruel dance. We miss our friends, we miss the movies, we miss coffee houses and bars and restaurants, so we seek comfort in familiar and safe distractions. I’ve taken to old Star Trek episodes and re-reading favorite books. I blew through A Tree Grows in Brooklyn last week and this week, it’s everything Armistead Maupin. (More)

Will the New Power Rangers Movie Feature an Out, Gay Blue Ranger?

By Raffy Ermac

Hollywood — Though Lionsgate's 2017 feature film adaptation of the beloved Power Rangers franchise promised queer viewers representation and then gave us next to nothing (seriously, it was a very blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment), it seems like yet another upcoming movie reboot is at least going to try and give us the LGBTQ+ representation we so desperately want...
