Taking My Birthday Off...

By Daddy

Las Vegas — I usually take my Birthday off as a "Me" day which makes writing this feel weird. Since I work a day ahead, I'm actually writing this on Wednesday for you to read on Thursday while I'm celebrating my 65th birthday. This of course means that we won't have an update on Friday because I'll be not working on Thursday. Confused yet? I am! 8-)

I'm not going out as my normal goto places are not open or just not fun because of the COVID19 restrictions. So instead Io'm cooking up a wonderful birthday meal:

I went to the store just before closing last night and snatched up the last Tomahawk Ribeye steak and some fresh asparagus. I already have shrimp in the freezer and all three can be cooked in the Sous Vite. Those and smashed garlic potato will make up a meal fit for a king (or at least my birthday.) I plan to pick up a Jackfruit today to have for desert.

I've been test driving a new version of my HTML editor. Renamed Nova this is the next generation of Coda2. This is the 3rd day I've updated the site update using Nova.

As is usual as we head into the holidays, money gets tight however November appears to be taken care of. I'll be coasting until about the 20th. To all those that have donated, Thank you for your donations!. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

VR Furries Taking Over Four Seasons Total Landscaping

By Emily

Cyberspace — You bet your ass I laughed at the headline despite having zero clue what a “VR furry” was. The Four Seasons Total Landscaping debacle was just that hilarious. Now, in my mind, I imagined real people in furry costumes taking the bus to Philly, putting on their virtual reality goggles, and bumping into each other in the business’ decrepit parking lot. Public Pressure and Lawsuits Kept USPS From Handing Trump the Election

By Molly Redden

.UNITED STATES — Voters in some key states were put in a very precarious position as the 2020 election approached. On the one hand, conservative legislatures and courts implemented rules that required mailed ballots to be received by Election Day, regardless of postmark. Meanwhile, as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic and changes implemented by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the mail experienced rolling delays from which it still has not fully recovered. Olympian Brian Boitano on Why He Fell in Love With San Francisco

San Francisco — Brian Boitano is one of history’s greatest figure skaters, winning a gold medal at the 1998 Olympics in addition to national and world championships. But Boitano’s greatest accomplishment might have come outside the rink. In December 2013, he was named to the United States delegation to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and he used the opportunity to publicly came out. Russia has been the target of criticism and LGBTQ activism because of its anti-gay “propaganda” law, and Boitano felt he could no longer remain silent. (More)
