Coverboy Jumping Through The Hoops
Jumping Through Hoops
By Daddy
Las Vegas — As I turned 65 a couple weeks ago, I thought it was time to get started on applying for Medicare. The first step seemed to be to sign up for "My Social Security" however the website kept on rejecting me because the information I entered didn't match what they had on file. Eventually the record was locked. So I called them up. Nice lady, but she couldn't match me up either.
So I need to apply for a new social security card. This requires that I send them a "Certified Birth Certificate" and a Photo ID. Since I'm not willing to give them the one and only birth certificate I have, I have to get another one from the State of California. Social Security is willing to accept my passport card as the Photo ID and since I'm not planning on going abroad in the near future, I'm covered there.
So now I await the form to fill out that'll show up in the next week or so. I sorta wish I hadn't turn 65. Is there any way to turn back the clock for a year or two?
As is usual as we head into the holidays, money gets tight however November appears to be taken care of. I'll be coasting until the weekend. To all those that have donated, Thank you for your donations!. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page
