Not Going Out This Week...

By Daddy

Las Vegas — I was able to get the new backend into the development environment and I'm using it to do the production today. I'm much more comfortable now that I have the project under Gitlab (source control.) I'm reviewing the 32 issues there to see how many got knocked out by the switch to Yii2 and Bootstrap 4.

You know how you used to be able to buy replica car kits? You'd take a donor car and add panels to make it look like a classic. We've done the opposite, we're taken the the panels and moved them to a new frame in preparation for the V3 version of the site. I'm currently cleaning up the files and portions of files that are no longer needed.

Next I plan to change out the aging menu system for one that's a bit slicker to use and I'm looking at the UN/LOCODE The "United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations" database as a replacement for the 2006 hand-rolled database that's been showing it's age. The current database has about 500 locations and the UN/LOCODE has 112K locations. By happen-stance the indexes don't overlap so would make the transition relatively easy.

We've another lull in the incoming reviews, so I'll be using the extra time to work on new backend.

Tonight I'm cooking a whole chicken that I was able to score for 55¢/pound and also plan to make made from scratch chicken noddle soup to tide me over for the week. I don't want to be going out while I'm still recovering from the flu/cough/whatever.

It's very tight however I have just enough to cover that one large bill I was talking about. To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

By Mikelle Street

Hollywood — Since 2012, Boy Butter ads have proven to be a staple of the RuPaul's Drag Race live viewing experience. If you watch the competition show on your television as opposed to streaming it later, and you live in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida or Canada, there's a good chance you've seen the spot. Unknown — Straight Up "started from a place of loneliness" for James Sweeney, the filmmaker told The Advocate. Biden Takes SC, Buttigieg Comes in Fourth

By Lisa Keen

South Carolina — The Democratic presidential field was jostled a bit Saturday, as South Carolina primary voting handed former Vice President Joe Biden his first primary victory. The primary gave Pete Buttigieg a decent showing in fourth place, especially given that he is openly gay and has been struggling to appeal to African American voters. (More)
