Playday...

Las Vegas — As I said a couple days ago, a friend wants me to put a "Daddy Show" on the internet. The first piece of that is the computer that'll do the most of the work. Yesterday was spend playing with the new toy and getting acquainted with Windows10 and setting up the software to access if from my main development station.

Strangely enough it turned out to be a nostalgic moment as I compared it to the very first computer that I played with in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) computer lab.

If we made a listing for that first computer I worked on (similar to the picture above) it would be: "A single core 6.7mhz 16bit processor with 256mb of memory and with 12.5mb of Disk storage contained in five cabinets 7 1/2 feet long, 2 1/2 feet deep, and 6 feet high."

Where as my new toy is: "A quad-Core 2.4ghz 64bit processor with 8gb of memory and two internal drives one 64gb and the other 250gb." A lot more power in every respect but the most amazing is that it's in a case is a bit over 5" by 5" and is about a inch tall.
