Coverboy Limping Along
Limping Along
By Daddy
Las Vegas — It's not the three trips to the laundry room. You know load the washers, move the wet clothes to the dryers, pickup the clothes that was the pain in the ass. It's that 10 minutes of leaning down to empty the dryer (four dryers in this case) that's a pain in the hips. Could barely walk and had to spend ten minutes on the bench in front of the laundry room. However, there is a nice stack of clean laundry I'm working through to fold and put away. Far easier than the trips to the laundry room.
Somehow I can always tell when the car needs something, it stops purring. That's the only way I can describe it. Topping off the oil and the grand old lady was purring again. The smog check passed and I paid the registration online. I have problems understanding $31 registration and $148 in various taxes and fees. Somehow something is wrong with the picture. The good news is that they're no longer charging for debit cards.
I was able to make it to the mailbox during the narrow two hour window. Long line, rude people from California that thought it was ok to cut in front of the old man with the crow boot and cane. How is it that you can tell where they're from just by the way they act? Yep, I checked her license plate when she left.
I have a blood draw on Friday. This weekend the plan is to simply rest as the Laundry just took it out of me. My back and hips are still complaining. Oh I wish I had a hot tub. The heated mattris pad is going to feel so good!
As is usual as we head into the holidays, money gets tight. I'll be coasting until the end of next week. To all those that have donated, Thank you for your donations!. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

By John Casey
Washington — When I helped lead a climate change project for the United Nations, I was blessed twice, working with Kalee Kreider, who was former Vice President Al Gore’s long-time spokesperson and climate advisor, and Sahar Wali, who had worked throughout the Obama administration. Kalee and Sahar not only gave me an invaluable course on understanding climate change, but blew me away with their professionalism, intelligence, and deft handling of the media. I’m a better man, and a better climate advocate, because of these two. (More)
