So It Begins

By Daddy

Las Vegas — Like it or not we're now in the midst of the 2020 election. The first votes were cast by North Carolinians who received and returned their ballots last Friday according The Hill.

This election will have a dynamic that we haven't seen before because of the twenty-two states that have implemented automatic mail-in ballots in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to the five states that already had an existing permanent automatic mail-in ballot. In a lot of states you can hand deliver your completed ballot to a ballot box bypassing the fear that the USPS will lose your vote or be slow in delivering it.

Yesterday I visited the company that took a mold of my lower left leg for a Crow (Charcot Restraint Orthotic Walker) boot. Turns out that they also can fit diabetic shoes, all I need is a prescription from my primary care physician. That's next on my todo list as the insurance company appears to have had a falling out with my previous doctor of six years and they've assigned a new one.

I've hard boiled the eggs for "Daddy's Chicken-Egg Salad" They have been chopped up along with the celery and spring onions. All are chilling out in the refrigerator. I now have all the ingredients needed to create one of my favorites.

The User Interface on my SwiftUI app is complete. This weekend I plan to fold the test apps together. Then it's on to interfacing with the external library. It may be simpler than I thought as I may be able to call the library without a Thunk layer

I'll be watching the pennies until about the 20th. To all those that have donated, Thank you for your donations!. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

Open Post: Hosted by Japan’s Sushi-Delivering Muscle Dudes

.JAPAN — Who hasn’t dreamed of receiving some grade A beefcake and man nipples with their cucumber sushi roll? One genius restauranteur turned bodybuilder (or is it the other way around? Honestly, who cares: MUSCLES!), has come up with an equally genius idea of how to sell more food while saving money on clothing. There’s a new kind of delivery service hitting the streets in Japan––in the form of muscly men who will not only drop off your seaweed salad, safely, to your front door, but also regale you with a little sexy two-step. And just like that, “Let’s order sushi, I’m hungry AND thirsty” takes on a whole new meaning. (More)

Imagine How Trump Feels About LGBTQ+ Service Members

By John Casey

Washington — It's estimated that more than 36,000 Gay men and lesbians are serving in active duty, representing 2.5 percent of active duty personnel. When the guard and reserve are included, nearly 65,000 men and women in uniform are likely gay, lesbian, or bisexual. Our transgender brothers and sisters were booted from the military early in Trump's presidency thanks to his shameful and discriminatory policy, though some do continue to serve. (More)

Nervous About November 3? Here’s How You Can Help

By Matt Tracy

Cyberspace — Judging purely by the state of national polls, Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden is maintaining a steady lead over President Donald Trump with less than two months to go until election day.

But four years after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost despite winning the popular vote by nearly three million votes, it is more clear than ever that battleground states — not the nationwide tally — will determine the winner of an election that has shaped up to be much more of a referendum on the president’s past four years than a typical head-to-head matchup for the White House.
