Two Days a Month
By Daddy
Las Vegas — A random comedian said: "Now that I've reached my 50s I get two good days a month," it turns out when you reach your 60s the number drops. Today was one of those good days and like him: "I'd rather be eating a cookie" but could we instead have a Pizza? The insurance company and my primary physician have parted ways. So comes to the dilemma; a new physician or ignore the insurance company and pay the modest amount per visit? I'm so over this COVID-19 thing...
The wound clinic wasn't able find a wound to measure. This week we're only covering the wound to see if there is any evidence of Exudate from the wound. I now have a prescription for a Charcot Orthotic Walker as surgery appears to not be an option because of COVID-19. So today I'm feeling a bit of cautious optimism. It has taken a bit over a year to heal 12½ cm by 7½ cm (roughly 5" by 3") wound however the alternative was unimaginable.I've started working on the user interface for the program that started this entire odyssey of learning Swift and being on the bleeding edge of development the very first thing I tried wasn't available. However, workarounds do exist. So continuing to explore this new world while leaving copious notes on upgrades as they become available.
I'm projecting that I'll be about $250 short for the month and I'll need to throw the rest of the stimulus check into the pot. To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

What Seniors Can Expect as Their New Normal in a Post-Vaccine World
By Bruce Horovitz .
United States — Imagine this scenario, perhaps a year or two in the future: An effective COVID-19 vaccine is routinely available and the world is moving forward. Life, however, will likely never be the same — particularly for people over 60. That is the conclusion of geriatric medical doctors, aging experts, futurists and industry specialists. Experts say that in the aftermath of the pandemic, everything will change, from the way older folks receive health care to how they travel and shop. Also overturned: their work life and relationships with one another. (More)
