Coverboy Eating The Apple!
The GOP Is Starting to Show Their True Colors
By Daddy
Las Vegas — Trump last week retweeted the claim that he was "the most pro-gay president in American history." I remember back in 2016 a photo of Trump holding a rainbow flag. The following 3+ years have tarnished that image. Last night Cissie Graham Lynch, the granddaughter of Billy Graham praised Trump for his constant attacks on the LGBTQ community. For the record someone needs to talk to Trump about Obama.
I've already said that this election is the most important election in history for the LGBTQ+ community. A community where a research study has said that only 80% of us are registered to vote. The window for registration is quickly closing and if you want your voice to be heard, now is the time. It could be literally the tipping point for the election!
I've physically moved the two Mac Minis so that they're in their correct locations so that the cables reach my main development machine. Apple has once again bitten me. The 2014 model has its RAM soldered on the board so I'm not able to swap the memory around. While 8gb is good enough for normal usage, it' a bit tight for development work. That ups the priority for a new Mac Mini as the 2018+ models once again have socketed memory. It'll take a lot of saving to have enough in time for my Birthday or Christmas.
I should be good for the rest of the month as long as I'm careful with my spending. To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page
How These Two Queer Men Blended Their Cultures for a Fairytale Wedding
By Mikelle Street
Colorado — There’s history in a name—multiple histories. This is what Cody McCook and Turner Free considered after they were married in August 2018. So, instead of going with one of their own last names, they took on a new one: AhTave, pulled from Cody’s family heritage in the Northern Ute tribe from the Uncompahgre Band. In the Ute language, AhTave means “new day” and was set to signify a reclamation of what the tribe had lost through colonization. (More)

Brandon Stansell Tells His Truth in "Three Chords and a Lie"
By Adam Salandra
Hollywood — Over the weekend, in a grassy field deep within the Malibu mountains, cars were filled with queer film and music fans excited to see the premiere of Three Chords and a Lie, the new documentary about rising country music star Brandon Stansell. The out singer performed a few of his hits at Outfest’s drive-in movie series—a clever Covid-19 workaround for the queer film festival—before introducing his movie to an excited, supportive crowd. GOP Day 2: Speaker Attacks, Trump Reaches Out
By Lisa Keen
Cyberspace — As the second night of the Republican National Convention got underway Tuesday night, the voiceover on a video showing the U.S. Constitution said, “Without equality there is no opportunity.” The video also showed historic photos of women marching for the right to vote and blacks marching for civil rights. There were no historic pictures of gay men and lesbians picketing in front of the White House in the 1960s.
There was a thinly veiled criticism of equal rights for LGBT people. It came in the speech of Cissie Graham Lynch, the granddaughter of the late Rev. Billy Graham and daughter of evangelical minister Franklin Graham. Lynch told viewers that the Obama-Biden administration had “tried to force adoption agencies to violate their deeply held beliefs.” That was an apparent reference to an ongoing controversy over whether local and state governments with laws that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity can withhold funding for adoption agencies that violate those laws.
