Spam, Spam, Trump, & Spam

By Daddy

Las Vegas — With profound apologies to Monty Python... Am I the only one that thinks it weird that just about half the keynote speakers have the last name of Trump? Or that Trump is planning to speak each night of the convention? Don't worry he'll probably just tweet it in. Know what I mean, know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Say no more.

Off to the wound clinic today; hopefully this'll be the week that it's declared done.

This weekend I tried to add one of those shiny new controls that I've wanted to try out. Turn out that the control is a SwiftUI 2 feature which shows up in Xcode 12 and is currently available in beta, so I downloaded it and installed it. However it turns out that Xcode needs the next version of macOS (Big Sur) which has just made it to public Beta. When I tried to download the Big Sur I immediately ran into the problem that my Mac Mini 2012 is not supported. I thought that all was lost but after sleeping on it I realized that my other Mac Mini is a 2014 model which is supported. So I'm in the process of swapping the two computers and getting the development environment back together. It's time for me to start saving up my pennies for a new Mac Mini as Big Sur is suppose to be showing up this year. It'll either be my Birthday present or my Christmas present to myself.

I should be good for the rest of the month as long as I'm careful with my spending. To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page
