Coverboy Las Vegas Strip Dark
Out and About in Las Vegas
By Daddy
Las Vegas — I was trying to finish my chicken noodle soup but was missing some spices and the mushrooms. So off to the grocery store for a quick supply run. As usual I was in one of those electric scooters which most people will actually make room for. That is until I get to Aisle 17, where an older lady is smack dabe in the middle of the aisle blocking my path. I didn't think a thing about it, I parked a safe distance away and wait patiently. She eventually woke and startled herself, then said: "I need to get six feet away!" to which I replied: "Why don't you get six feet to the side so that I can get by?" She mumbled and started down aisle at a faster clip and I forgot all about her. That is until I got to self-checkout, and found here parked between two men three feet from her. While it was tempting, I didn't say what I was thinking: "Gurl, ain't you suppose to keep six feet away?"
When I started the car the lights dimmed ominously, which is the batteries way of saying: "Feed Me!" The solution is simple; go for a drive of at least 30 minutes. This time I decided to take a cruise down "The strip." Wow! The sidewalk was empty, the traffic nearly non-existent. The sidewalk are mostly dark with an occasional person. Most of the big signs were lit with heartwarming messages like: "We'll get through this together." The Eiffel tower at Paris, Paris and the Stratosphere are both lit red. The LINQ (our ferris wheel) was a olid white. The best part was the messages let up by the rooms; most of the rooms are dark except for specific rooms with the lights turned on. A lot of hearts, "Be Wells", and other good wishes.
On the way home, I stopped by Panda Express with the best well thought out way of handling the new rule. The sign on the door said: "Only 10 customers at a time." All the chair lined the counter from one end to the other. A blue line marked the six foot distance to the server. Large blue X's marked where the ten people were to stand. Bravo, Panda Express on Tropicana Ave for dealing with the new rules in a intelligent manner.
Coasting until the end of the month and the rent for April is paid; To all those that have donated, Thank you! Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page
